Sin-Hae day pillar personality
- brilliant
- pure
- independent
Sin-Hae is a gem rinsed in a cold stream until it shines. Water is Output for Metal, so tradition reads intelligence, eloquence and clear, original thinking. Sin in its Bath stage adds sensitivity and style. Some schools list Sin-Hae among the Goran pillars, a traditional label about independence. Sin-Hae people need a calm, clean environment to sparkle.
The Sin day master
Sin (辛) is the polished jewel: refined, precise and self-respecting. It values quality, aesthetics and clean standards, and notices flaws others miss.
Sitting on Hae (亥)
Hae (亥) is early-winter water holding the seed of wood. As a day branch it adds generosity, imagination and an easygoing, open heart. Its main hidden stem, 壬, is Hurting Officer to a Sin day master (expression, creativity, rebellion), so the inner self leans toward expression.
Like every one of the 60 pillars, Sin-Hae pairs a stem and a branch of the same polarity, so it is a purely yin pillar: receptive, inward and subtle in expression.
Hidden stems and the 12 life stages
Every earthly branch carries one to three hidden stems (지장간, jijanggan). Their share follows the traditional day-count table (월률분야) used by the site’s Saju calculator. Each hidden stem becomes a ten god when compared with the day master 辛.
| Hidden stem | Element | Role | Days | Ten god | Theme |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 戊 Mu | Yang Earth | residual qi | 7 | Direct Resource | learning, support, documents |
| 甲 Gap | Yang Wood | middle qi | 7 | Direct Wealth | steady income, management, thrift |
| 壬 Im | Yang Water | main qi | 16 | Hurting Officer | expression, creativity, rebellion |
Life stage: Bath (목욕)
Bath (Mogyok) is the infant being washed: exposed, curious and changeable. Tradition reads it as sensitivity, a strong sense of style and a restless search for new experiences, especially in romance. For Sin, that stage falls exactly on Hae, so the pillar’s own branch shows change and charm.
Five-element balance
On its own, the Sin-Hae pillar is led by Metal (50%), followed by Water (27%), Wood (12%), Earth (12%). Fire is absent from the pillar itself.
One pillar is only two of the eight characters in a full chart; the year, month and hour pillars often fill the gaps. Tradition treats under-represented elements as balancing themes, for example Wood → green, mornings, walks among trees, starting a course; Fire → warm light, exercise that makes you sweat, social plans; Earth → regular meals, routines, tidy spaces, gardening.
Sin-Hae in love and compatibility
The day branch is called the spouse palace. With Hurting Officer in the spouse palace, expectations are high and feelings are spoken frankly. Lively and creative together, but tradition advises gentle wording during arguments.
As a Sin day master, Sin-Hae is selective and elegant, wants to be cherished and treats a partner with care and taste. Starting (“post-horse”) branch: In, Sin, Sa and Hae begin each season. Tradition links them with Yeokma (驛馬, travelling horse): movement, change of place and busy schedules.
Compatible and challenging day pillars
- Best traditional match: Byeong-In (丙寅) — stems combine (辛 + 丙 → Water) and branches form a six-harmony (亥 + 寅).
- Friendly branches: In (Tiger) (six-harmony) and Myo (卯) and Mi (未) (three-harmony Wood frame).
- Most tension: Eul-Sa (乙巳) — the branches clash (亥 vs 巳) and the stems clash.
Compatibility in Saju compares whole charts; the day pillar is only one piece. Treat this as a conversation starter, not a verdict on any relationship.
Sin-Hae day pillar for women and men
Personality traits above apply to everyone. Gender enters only through an old convention: classical texts treat Wealth as the spouse star in a man’s chart and Officer in a woman’s chart. Modern readers apply the spouse palace to any partner.
Sin-Hae woman
No Officer star sits inside the Sin-Hae spouse palace, so for a woman’s chart classical texts read partner timing from the other pillars and the ten-year luck cycles. The palace’s main star, Hurting Officer, sets the tone of the relationship instead.
Sin-Hae man
Direct Wealth (甲) sits in the spouse palace as the middle qi, which classical texts read, for a man’s chart, as a close and quiet but present bond: the partner star is “at home”. Being a hidden minor star, its influence is subtler and often grows with age.
Sin-Hae career and work style
Career themes in Saju come from the day master and from the star in the spouse palace, which also shows how a person behaves in private and in partnerships.
- From the Sin stem: finance and audit, fashion, beauty and design, professional licences (law, medicine, pharmacy), precision technology.
- From Hurting Officer in the day branch: creative, verbal and reform-minded work: media, law, design, entertainment.
- From the Bath stage: fields that reward style, trends and change.
Work that draws on the pillar’s keywords (brilliant, pure, independent) tends to feel most natural for Sin-Hae.

Sin-Hae day pillar in 2027 (Jeongmi year)
2027 is the Jeongmi (丁未) year, Yin Fire over the Earth Goat, running from Ipchun (around 4 February 2027) to Ipchun 2028 in Saju.
| 2027 factor | For Sin-Hae |
|---|---|
| Year stem 丁 Jeong | Seven Killings |
| Year branch 未 Mi (main qi 己) | Indirect Resource |
| Sin at Mi | Decline stage |
| Day branch 亥 vs 未 | Wood triad (half) |
For Sin day masters Jeong (丁) is Seven Killings and Mi’s main qi is Indirect Resource. Tradition reads a year of pressure and responsibility that can be converted into authority through study and planning; protect rest and health.
Hae joins Mi in the Hae-Myo-Mi Wood triad (half-combination). Tradition reads support from networks and a good year for collaboration.
Sin-Hae days in 2027: Feb 1, Apr 2, Jun 1, Jul 31, Sep 29, Nov 28. Some people like to schedule small personal milestones on their own pillar’s days, purely for fun.
Year readings are traditional entertainment. Make decisions about money, health or relationships on facts and professional advice.
Traditional labels and concept notes
- Goran (孤鸞, lone phoenix, some schools) — an old label about independence in relationships; modern readers see it as a reminder to balance self-reliance with togetherness, not a sign of being single.
- Starting (“post-horse”) branch — In, Sin, Sa and Hae begin each season. Tradition links them with Yeokma (驛馬, travelling horse): movement, change of place and busy schedules.
- Nayin: Hairpin Metal (釵釧金), the “sound element” shared with Gyeong-Sul (庚戌).
- Empty branches (gongmang, 空亡): In and Myo (寅卯), because Sin-Hae belongs to the decade that starts with 甲辰.
- Same pillar as the years 1911, 1971, 2031, 2091 (for the year pillar, not the day).
Labels such as Goegang or Baekho come from classical star lists that vary between schools. They are historical vocabulary, not predictions.

How to find your day pillar
- Open the free Korean Saju calculator and enter your birth date, time and city.
- Read the day column of your chart: the top character is your day master, the bottom one your spouse palace.
- Check births near midnight: schools differ on whether 11 pm–midnight belongs to the same day or the next.
- Unlike the year and month, the day pillar ignores solar terms: it is a continuous 60-day count, so Sin-Hae returns every 60 days.
