Pick two MBTI types and birth years: you plus your bias, a friend or your partner. You'll get a combined chemistry score, your Korean zodiac (띠) match and the roles you'd play in an idol group.
MBTI chemistry (60%). We use the same rules as our MBTI compatibility calculator. Every pair starts at 30 points. Sharing S or N adds 25, because it shapes how two people talk about the world. Sharing T or F adds 14 (10 if different). Having different E/I letters adds 14 and different J/P letters adds 12 (6 each if they match), because opposite energy and planning styles can balance each other. That gives 52–95 points.
Korean zodiac match (40%). Koreans often ask “what's your 띠?”, meaning which of the 12 animals rules your birth year. Old folk tradition groups the animals into relationships. The rules match the compatibility table on our Korean age & zodiac table.
| 삼합 Three Harmony (96) | Animals four years apart form a team of three: Rat-Dragon-Monkey, Tiger-Horse-Dog, Snake-Rooster-Ox, Pig-Rabbit-Sheep. |
| 육합 Six Harmony (92) | Secret-best-friend pairs: Rat-Ox, Tiger-Pig, Rabbit-Dog, Dragon-Rooster, Snake-Monkey, Horse-Sheep. |
| Same animal (80) | Same wavelength, and sometimes the same stubborn streak. |
| No special tie (70) | Neutral. The chemistry depends on what you build. |
| 원진 Won-jin (52) | Pairs said to get on each other's nerves: Rat-Sheep, Ox-Horse, Tiger-Rooster, Rabbit-Monkey, Dragon-Pig, Snake-Dog. |
| 충 Clash (48) | Opposite animals, six years apart, such as Rat-Horse or Tiger-Monkey. Sparks fly, for better or worse. |
Idol-group roles. Each MBTI type gets a playful group position (leader, main vocal, main dancer, rapper, mood maker, producer and more), and each zodiac animal adds a stage trait. The younger of the two gets 막내 (maknae, the youngest member) energy. If you were born the same year, you're 동갑 (same-age) friends. The roles are generic labels and are not based on any real artist.
Just for fun. Neither personality type nor zodiac animal predicts whether a relationship will work. MBTI and Myers-Briggs are trademarks of their owner; this is an unofficial, independent tool not affiliated with or endorsed by them or by any entertainment company.
