Eul-Mi day pillar personality
- resilient
- practical
- strong-willed
Eul-Mi is the grass that survives drought. The Goat holds Eul Wood’s own root plus Earth as Wealth, so tradition reads resilience, practicality and a strong will under a soft exterior. It is also a classical Baekho pillar. Eul-Mi people endure hardship well and save carefully, but should watch stubbornness and emotional dryness.
The Eul day master
Eul (乙) is the grass and the vine: flexible, sociable and quietly tenacious. It bends with the wind instead of breaking and finds a way around obstacles rather than through them.
Sitting on Mi (未)
Mi (未) is hot, dry summer earth that stores wood. As a day branch it adds gentleness on the outside, stubborn endurance inside and strong family feeling. Its main hidden stem, 己, is Indirect Wealth to a Eul day master (big money, activity, opportunity), so the inner self leans toward big money.
Like every one of the 60 pillars, Eul-Mi pairs a stem and a branch of the same polarity, so it is a purely yin pillar: receptive, inward and subtle in expression.
Hidden stems and the 12 life stages
Every earthly branch carries one to three hidden stems (지장간, jijanggan). Their share follows the traditional day-count table (월률분야) used by the site’s Saju calculator. Each hidden stem becomes a ten god when compared with the day master 乙.
| Hidden stem | Element | Role | Days | Ten god | Theme |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 丁 Jeong | Yin Fire | residual qi | 9 | Eating God | talent, enjoyment, steady output |
| 乙 Eul | Yin Wood | middle qi | 3 | Friend | peer, self, independence |
| 己 Gi | Yin Earth | main qi | 18 | Indirect Wealth | big money, activity, opportunity |
Life stage: Nurture (양)
Nurture (Yang) is the child in the womb being fed: protected growth and preparation. It suggests a warm, family-minded person who matures steadily and often gets support from others. For Eul, that stage falls exactly on Mi, so the pillar’s own branch shows protected growth.
Five-element balance
On its own, the Eul-Mi pillar is led by Wood (55%), followed by Earth (30%), Fire (15%). Metal and Water are absent from the pillar itself.
One pillar is only two of the eight characters in a full chart; the year, month and hour pillars often fill the gaps. Tradition treats under-represented elements as balancing themes, for example Metal → decluttering, deep breathing, clear decisions; Water → sleep, water, journaling, quiet reading.
Eul-Mi in love and compatibility
The day branch is called the spouse palace. With Indirect Wealth in the spouse palace, the partner is often lively, sociable or business-minded, and dates tend to be active. Generosity runs high, so shared budgeting helps.
As a Eul day master, Eul-Mi is attentive and affectionate, reads a partner's mood well and values everyday tenderness. Storage (“flower-canopy”) branch: Jin, Sul, Chuk and Mi close each season and store its energy. Tradition links them with Hwagae (華蓋): reflection, study, art and spiritual interests.
Compatible and challenging day pillars
- Best traditional match: Gyeong-O (庚午) — stems combine (乙 + 庚 → Metal) and branches form a six-harmony (未 + 午).
- Friendly branches: O (Horse) (six-harmony) and Hae (亥) and Myo (卯) (three-harmony Wood frame).
- Most tension: Sin-Chuk (辛丑) — the branches clash (未 vs 丑) and the stems clash.
Compatibility in Saju compares whole charts; the day pillar is only one piece. Treat this as a conversation starter, not a verdict on any relationship.
Eul-Mi day pillar for women and men
Personality traits above apply to everyone. Gender enters only through an old convention: classical texts treat Wealth as the spouse star in a man’s chart and Officer in a woman’s chart. Modern readers apply the spouse palace to any partner.
Eul-Mi woman
No Officer star sits inside the Eul-Mi spouse palace, so for a woman’s chart classical texts read partner timing from the other pillars and the ten-year luck cycles. The palace’s main star, Indirect Wealth, sets the tone of the relationship instead.
Eul-Mi man
Indirect Wealth (己) sits in the spouse palace as the main qi, which classical texts read, for a man’s chart, as a close and strong, visible bond: the partner star is “at home”. Being the main star, it tends to show clearly in daily life.
Eul-Mi career and work style
Career themes in Saju come from the day master and from the star in the spouse palace, which also shows how a person behaves in private and in partnerships.
- From the Eul stem: design and visual arts, counselling and HR, marketing and networking, hospitality and service.
- From Indirect Wealth in the day branch: business, trading, investment and work that moves around.
- From the Nurture stage: family businesses, education and supportive teams.
Work that draws on the pillar’s keywords (resilient, practical, strong-willed) tends to feel most natural for Eul-Mi.

Eul-Mi day pillar in 2027 (Jeongmi year)
2027 is the Jeongmi (丁未) year, Yin Fire over the Earth Goat, running from Ipchun (around 4 February 2027) to Ipchun 2028 in Saju.
| 2027 factor | For Eul-Mi |
|---|---|
| Year stem 丁 Jeong | Eating God |
| Year branch 未 Mi (main qi 己) | Indirect Wealth |
| Eul at Mi | Nurture stage |
| Day branch 未 vs 未 | Same branch (伏吟) |
For Eul day masters Jeong (丁) is Eating God and Mi holds Indirect Wealth plus Eul’s own root. Tradition reads a comfortable, productive year: talent turns into results and opportunities, and the Goat branch is the storehouse of Wood, so support is easier to find.
Your day branch is the same as the year branch (伏吟, “repeating”). Tradition reads a year of reviewing your own patterns: renewal and self-reflection rather than a sudden external change.
Eul-Mi days in 2027: Jan 16, Mar 17, May 16, Jul 15, Sep 13, Nov 12. Some people like to schedule small personal milestones on their own pillar’s days, purely for fun.
Year readings are traditional entertainment. Make decisions about money, health or relationships on facts and professional advice.
Traditional labels and concept notes
- Baekho (白虎, White Tiger) — traditionally linked with intensity and sudden events; modern readers treat it as a reminder to stay calm and safety-minded, not as a prediction.
- Storage (“flower-canopy”) branch — Jin, Sul, Chuk and Mi close each season and store its energy. Tradition links them with Hwagae (華蓋): reflection, study, art and spiritual interests.
- Nayin: Gold in the Sand (沙中金), the “sound element” shared with Gap-O (甲午).
- Empty branches (gongmang, 空亡): Jin and Sa (辰巳), because Eul-Mi belongs to the decade that starts with 甲午.
- Same pillar as the years 1955, 2015, 2075 (for the year pillar, not the day).
Labels such as Goegang or Baekho come from classical star lists that vary between schools. They are historical vocabulary, not predictions.

How to find your day pillar
- Open the free Korean Saju calculator and enter your birth date, time and city.
- Read the day column of your chart: the top character is your day master, the bottom one your spouse palace.
- Check births near midnight: schools differ on whether 11 pm–midnight belongs to the same day or the next.
- Unlike the year and month, the day pillar ignores solar terms: it is a continuous 60-day count, so Eul-Mi returns every 60 days.
