A live countdown in your own time zone — plus New Year, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Lunar New Year. Make a shareable countdown image in one tap.
— days until Christmas
Tap a card to show it in the big countdown and on the share image. Dates roll over to next year automatically once a holiday has passed.
The counter uses your device's clock and time zone, so “midnight on Christmas morning” means midnight where you are — someone in Sydney reaches zero hours before someone in New York. The big number in the headline counts calendar days (sleeps) from today's date to December 25; the tiles count down to the exact second. On Christmas Day the page says “Merry Christmas!”, and from December 26 it switches to the following year automatically.
Thanksgiving (U.S.) is the fourth Thursday of November: Thursday, November 26, 2026. Hanukkah 2026 starts at sundown on Friday, December 4 and ends at nightfall on Saturday, December 12; the counter targets the start of December 4. Christmas is Friday, December 25, 2026, and New Year's Day is Friday, January 1, 2027. Chinese New Year 2027 — the Year of the Goat — is Saturday, February 6, 2027, while Korea's Seollal falls on Sunday, February 7, 2027 (holiday February 6–9) because the new moon arrives just after midnight Korea time.
Thanksgiving: 5 U.S.C. § 6103 (fourth Thursday in November). Hanukkah: Farmers' Almanac (Hebrew calendar 25 Kislev 5787). Lunar New Year: Farmers' Almanac — Chinese New Year 2027; PublicHolidays.co.kr — Seollal 2027.
